Atelier Pronovias EDITH Couture Wedding Gown & Overskirt
Atelier Pronovias EDITH is a couture, ultra-feminine, sleeveless wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and a mermaid silhouette. It has a delicate and intricate design of Chantilly, lace and gemstones. The overskirt of this gown provides an extra touch of elegance.
This gown is a Salon sample in absolutely amazing condition. It does need some minor tweaks to be perfect, including the reattachment of a few pieces of lace where they've come loose or gemstones that need to be tightened. There are no rips, stains, or tears on the outside (the pieces of lace that need reattachment are partially attached -- see final photo; just need a stitch or two for full attachment). Inside does have one stain at the back of the bust, but this cannot be seen from the outside of the gown (see second-to-last photo). The very edge of the nude lining in the sheath and the overskirt are dirty, but also cannot be seen from the outside. All of these can be spot-cleaned by a reputable cleaner and, possibly, hemmed off during alterations.
Double-zipper and boning for support in the sheath gown, the "eyes" for the overskirt to attach are hidden in the lace and unnoticeable once the skirt is taken off; some may be missing, but would need readjustment at your alterations for placement at your natural waist and appropriate spacing for maximum stability of the overskirt on your hips. In short, placement of these should be adjusted for YOUR body regardless of where they are now.
The sheath gown has a nude lining, which was an intentional juxtaposition to the overskirt being all ivory & sheer (second photo looks as though it is also lined in nude from the back; it is not) as part of the original design by Atelier Pronovias. It is a stunning combination and, if you're loving the sheer looks of gowns, the lining can even be shortened OR made into a bodysuit so that your legs show thru the lace skirt. SO MANY options with this dress with minimal work by a reputable seamstress!!
Tagged a US 12, Atelier Pronovias advertises measurements of fit for a 40" bust, 31.5" waist, and 42.5" low hip; hollow-to-hem is a standard 60". Bridal can be altered down by up to two sizes and length of the dress depends on your height plus shoe height; nearly all gowns need to be shortened (designers make them long as a standard), which will simply remove the dirty edges mentioned previously in this listing.
